Knitted with 3 strands 1/12 accrylic yarn in 3 different colors mixed together. I am also knitting one in 2/17 acrylic knit 2 strands.

Doubled Reversible Hats


Doubled warm winter hat grey marl©


 

Yarn: 2 strands grey marl 2/15 acrylic Tension 10

Gauge: 6- 1/2 stitches 1” and 9 rows 1”

Finished Measurements: 21” wide 11”long  Hat will stretch to fit. 

Cast on 65-0-65 stitches e wrapping every other needle. Knit 10 rows tension 5.

Push the empty needles into work position, change to tension 10.

Knit 180 rows.

Hem picking up stitches from the cast on  EON.

Knit 4 rows.

Reduce stitches moving every other needle over to the next stitch.

Knit 4 rows.  Tension 5.

Break a length of yarn 2 x the width of knitting.

Pull needles out to hold position.

Thread yarn with tapestry needle and take off stitches on to the yarn . Push back empty needles as you go.

Gather the stitches you took off the machine. Tack two sides together, seam in hole at top. Continue seaming one layer at a time going down the hat and to the inside so no seams show.

Hat can be worn cuffed or as a slouchy hat.

 Variation 2 Color Reversible Hat. Instead  of Knitting 180 rows Knit 94 rows color 1 and 90 rows color 2.

Yarn: 1 strand 3/15 Marl yarn Tension 8

Gauge: 6 stitches 1” and 9 1/2 rows 1”

Cast on 70-0-70 stitches e wrapping every other needle.

Knit 10 rows tension 5.

Push the empty needles into work position, change to tension 7.

Knit 230 rows.

Hem picking up stitches from the cast on  EON.

Knit 4 rows.

Reduce stitches moving every other needle over to the next stitch.

Knit 4 rows.  Tension 5.

Break a length of yarn 2 x the width of knitting.

Pull needles out to hold position.

Thread yarn with tapestry needle and take off stitches on to the yarn . Push back empty needles as you go.

Cowl Neck Scarf and Smoke Ring Machine Knitting Patterns

YARN: 2/17 TEAM ACRYLIC YARN

MACHINE W RIBBER

TENSION: 4/4

Cast-on 180  full needle bed stitches. Knit 8 rows in full needle rib.

Set up machine to do a tuck knit stitch. Japanese machines push in both tuck buttons on main machine to do a tuck stitch. Passap: N/AX dial on 2, Card #18 ( turn to the back of Passap Deco Manual  follow B2 directions).

            On the Brother Machine or Knitking, after casting on set up as follows. End with carriage on left side, past turn mark. Turn machine on, select any tuck pattern number from 223-292 in the Stitch world book. #255 is the one I used. (I also tried pattern #244 using 2/17 Team Aqua Teal.) 
 Push in selector I (older machines is #7KCR punch card machines insert card, set lock 0). Main carriage turn KC knob to KCII (punch card machines to KC). 
                                Knit 1 row, carriage on right needles are pre-selected. Press in both TUCK BUTTONS in on main carriage (pc machines release card). Ribber Carriage both Cam levers to N, R, Slide lever middle I, lili button  I.

            On the Passap DM-80 machine. After casting on set up deco using card #18  set lock at N/AXand deco dial at 2. Follow Passap Deco Book at the back under B2 directions.

Knit 200 rows.

Brother or Knitking machine change KC knob to knit normal N. The Passap machine change setting to N/N.

Knit a 5-6 rows. Change tension 5/5 knit 1 row and then 6/6 knit 1 row for an easier bind off.
End with carriage/lock on the left. Drop ribber/front bed. Latch tool needed for bind off.

Seam sides together.  Optional: Steam Press for a wider and softer drape of the cowl neck .

Yarn: #181 Heavier off white Boucle’ (see Krinklespun card at Stephanies Studio & Yarn http://www.sumi-soft.com/yarn )

Knit using 2 strands any machine. Stockinette stitch.

Tension 8

Bring 190 stitches into work position.

With 1x1 comb push back every other needle to non work position.

E-wrap needles in work position.

 Tension 6

Knit 14 rows.

Put non working  needles into work position.

Tension 8

Knit 14 Rows.     

 Hem.

Row Counter to 000. 

Knit 188 rows.

Transfer every other stitch to the next needle.

Tension 6             Knit 14 rows.

Bind off loosely and hem.

Seam sides with 2/17 or 2/24 acrylic off white not the boucle’ yarn.

KNIT STRAIGHT SKIRT


YARN SUGGESTIONS: 6/2 Cotton; 2 strands 2/24 or 1/12 Acrylic Yarn; 1 strand 2/17 Team; dress yarns, any yarn using this gauge.
 
Any Standard Knitting machine with ribber.
 
Gauge 7.5 st. & 11.75 rows

Tension 7

Sizes 36, 40, 44, 48, 52

Knit  2 panels

 RC 000

Cast on 136, 150, 166, 180, 196 stitches in 1x1 rib.

 Knit 12 rows tension 5/5

 Transfer ribber stitches to main bed,  if using a ribber.  If using a garter  carriage take off and replace with main carriage.

Tension 9

RC000
Knit the number rows you need for a total length including ribbing as  follows:

18” -  200 rows

20” -  224 rows

22” -  248 rows

24” -  270 rows

26” -  294 rows

Knit a marking row.

Transfer every other stitch to the next needle. ( 2 stitches on every other needle).

RC000

Knit 20 rows at tension 6.

 Hang a hem at the marking row.

Knit across and bind off.

Make another panel.

Join side seams.
 
Elastic: Measure waist and cut it 1” less than measurement.

Insert Elastic in casing.
