I started machine knitting while my husband, Bill, was stationed in Japan in 1964. My first machine was a silver reed knitting machine. I presently use a Brother 965i knitting machine. We have been selling cone yarn in East Tennessee since 1986. Our web site is at http:// www.etsy.com/shop/stephaniesyarn

Afghan Machine Knitting
I am planning on making another afghan with my ribber in a tuck stitch which has a lace effect. Being a double bed knit it will not roll but will lay nice and flat. I usually do not add fringe as it eventually gets tangled after many washings. I have the pattern available for sale at my web site Stephanie's Studio & Yarn which is located at http://www.sumi-soft.com/yarn/
The yarn I plan on using is 2/17 "Team" Acrylic Yarn which is a light weight fingering weight yarn on cones. Team 2/17 Acrylic yarn can also be found at our web site. I use tension 4/4 or 5/5 with these yarns. I also would like to try the new 3/15 or our new 2/15 Hi bulk Acrylic Yarn in marls we have a lot of beautiful colors in the marls that will go with any decor.
