Bulky or Chunky Knitting Machine Knitted Hats

My daughter Deb has a Bulky Knitting machine by Brother, it is a punch card machine. I decided to start knitting on this machine as I usually knit on my standard Brother 965i machine.
Since I didn't have any bulky yarn on hand I decided to mix yarns and weights of yarn.
For instance 3 strands of 2/17 or 1 strand of bulky novelty black with 1-2 strands 2/17 black, Novelty black/gray yarn with 1-2 strands 2/17 black yarn and so forth.
